RIVERINE WARFARE

STANDARD SPECIFICATIONS - 35 FOOT RIVERINE ASSAULT CRAFT

Swiftships' Riverine Assault Craft is a diesel powered, hard chine, modified Vee hull form, all-welded aluminum vessel with twin waterjet propulsors. It is designed to operate in both salt and fresh water, and to be fully operational in tropical regions with air temperatures of 100 degrees Fahrenheit. The vessel is also designed to operate in Sea State 2 and to survive in Sea State 4. It is also designed to be transported with a trailer in a C-130 aircraft.

PRINCIPAL CHARACTERISTICS

*High performance options will provide speeds in excess of 50 kts.

CREW

A four (4) man crew is recommended for normal operations with capacity provided for fifteen (15) marines.

ARMAMENT

One (1) M2HB machine gun, one (1) 40mm MK-19 grenade launcher, and two (2) M60D machine guns.

MAIN PROPULSION

Two (2) Cummins marine engines, Model 6BTA5.9Ms, each rated at 300 BHP at 2800 RPM. Two (2) Hamilton waterjets, Model 273.

COMMUNICATIONS AND NAVIGATION

VHF transceiver with direction finder, space/weight/power for HF/VHF transceiver with remote speaker, HF SSB transceiver with remote speaker, UHF portable radio with battery chargers, and Class A (float free) EPIRB. Search/navigation, radar, magnetic compass, depth sounder, chronometer, barometer, thermometer, lead line/depth stick and navigation calculator.

Vessel acquisition programs can include 90 day and two (2) year spare parts, CONUS and/or in-country maintenance and repair training, portable self-contained maintenance facilities and follow-on technical assistance in-country.
