Swiftships maintains an in-house engineering staff for the development of Swiftships unique designs. The engineering staff produces design packages to Mil-Standard, ABS, USCG and several international classification organizations' standards. Swiftships' engineers produce custom modifications of existing craft or complete new designs for customers around the world, whether for commercial craft, military vessels, mega-yachts, or other government agencies and countries.

The engineering group maintains relationships with several outside design organizations for overflow engineering work or specialty requirements. With over 550 hulls at sea, Swiftships is proud of its in-house engineering capability.

Design tools include: AutoCAD 2004, (2D and 3D) and MACSURF (3D) modeling and naval architecture programs.
