STANDARD SPECIFICATIONS - 38 FOOT PATROL BOAT

Swiftships' Model 38PB1098 is a diesel powered waterjet patrol craft constructed of aluminum. This vessel is designed to operate in shallow waters and in rivers, bays, harbors and along the coast.

PRINCIPAL CHARACTERISTICS

A five (5) man crew is recommended for normal operations when all the weapons are to be employed. Otherwise, two (2) or three (3) crew members can operate the vessel adequately.

ARMAMENTS

Two (2) .50 caliber M.G. on the bow and stern and a 7.62mm M.G. port and starboard. The forward gun is mounted on a MSG Seated Rotating Stand (SRS). Both the after mount and forward MSG SRS can receive the MK19 MOD 3 40mm Machine Gun and the Twin M-2HB Guns. Note: Other weapons foundations are available.

MACHINERY

Two (2) Caterpillar 3406 Diesel Engines developing 635 BHP at 2300 RPM each. Generator - One (1) 8 kW @ 50 Hz 230 volt single phase diesel ONAN generator keel cooled.

NAVIGATION AND COMMUNICATIONS

One (1) VHF radio - marine Band, One (1) SSB radio - Marine Band, One (1) 26 mile Radar, One (1) Fathometer, One (1) Loudhailer, One (1) Magnetic Compass - Danforth 4 inches, One (1) Navigation horn, One (1) GPS with radar interface.

ACCOMMODATIONS

One (1) Cabin amidships with four (4) bunks, One (1) Galley with sink, Two (2) burner alcohol cooktop, One (1) small Norcold refrigerator, Two (2) folding chairs and Two (2) fixed tables.

SPECIAL FEATURES/OPTIONAL FEATURES

Mounts for 7.62 MM machine gun on open bridge, port and starboard sides, 50 caliber machine gun on foredeck. Note: Other weapons foundations are available.
